What is Soft Washing?
Soft Washing
Soft washing has many uses. Unlike pressure washing you don’t have to avoid delicate surfaces, the most pressure you use is 60psi. You may be saying ‘if you’re just spraying water at 60 psi then I can just use my hose.’ However soft washing uses chemicals instead of pressure to remove mold, mildew, and algae. Our company uses sodium hypochlorite, the active ingredient in bleach and chlorine. This is industry standard with proper safety measures, PPE, and care for our company’s customers. Our company uses chemical injectors and systems built for soft washing.
Chemical Injectors
Most common chemical injector is a downstream chemical injector or an XJet. The downstream chemical injector allows chemical to enter the pressure line right after the pump of the pressure washer. These tend to be a cheaper and easier alternative, however can cause damages to the pressure washers fittings as the chemical is highly corrosive. XJets are a perfect entry when it comes to price and avoiding corrosion as the sodium hypochlorite is injected at the very end of the pressure washers wand.
Soft Washing Machines
The most fun soft washing system is the P40, for its special design. The trigger mechanism detects how hard you press and adjust the pressure of chemical and water accordingly. This saves time and creates convenience while trying to reach far small places and then switch to a close wide spread instead of switching tips to change pressure. The P40 is very expensive however, normally costing close to $6,000. A more common and inexpensive option is a chemical pump
